Roodezand Wedding Venue in Tulbagh South Africa
Earlier this year we travelled to one of the most perfect little towns in the Western Cape province of South Africa, to photograph the union of Claudia and Quinton.
“Travel back in time over 300 years… Tulbagh is the fourth oldest town in South Africa (after Cape Town, Stellenbosch and Swellendam) dating back to the early 1700s. Charming Church Street boasts the largest number of Cape Dutch, Edwardian and Victorian provincial heritage sites in one street, all lovingly restored…”
This beautiful and intimate wedding was held at Roodezand Wedding Venue, nestled at the base of the Winterhoek mountains. Situated on the original Roodezand Farm, the venue itself makes its home in a building that is over 220 years old. As family and friends snuggled up in the cozy chapel for the ceremony, the rain clouds gathered, and that night, it rained. It rained, and it was beautiful. Not only did it bless this marriage, but also brought some much needed water to a drought stricken area. We all sipped champagne and full bodied red wine. Ate amazing food. Laughed together. Danced together. Celebrating and wishing only happy adventures on this lovely couple.
