Canadian Museum for Human Rights | Jillian + Sean Wedding

It's been a while since the wedding, but busy people are busy people, and without them - the world would stand still.  Was happy to host Jillian and Sean last night to view their Highlights Slideshow.

What an amazing day, with stunning friends, great laughs, and loads of love going around. No - not a hippie festival, just a real, true to the bone - wedding celebration.

Enjoy some of my favourites.

Cathleen + Jonny's beautiful wedding at St. Mary's Cathedral in Winnipeg

What a perfect Monday morning to share highlights from Cathleen and Jonny's stunning wedding.  It was great to catch up at the screening last week and laugh about all the little details - things only we knew.  So many behind the scenes moments during this wedding...

I walked in to start the getting ready photos that morning and was just blown away by Cathleen's beauty.  Simple, natural beauty. Her hair up high, she looked like some 50's supermodel from Hollywood.

St. Mary's Cathedral - stunning. Love shooting there and the young priest is just awesome. The perfect example of a modern relies leader. With the times and open to us photographers wanting to capture the best for the couple and not be forced to stand way back on a balcony - like outcasts.  LOL!

A big bridal part means loads of laughs and high energy. Loved them all and had a great time.

Here are a few of my favourite frames.

Winnipeg Wedding at the Qualico Family Centre - Meghan + Oliver

This sums up who Meghan and Oliver are. Kind, generous and caring. I loved this reading from their wedding.  It's from the Velveteen Rabbit by Margery Williams

"What is REAL?" asked the Rabbit one day, when they were lying side by side near the nursery fender, before Nana came to tidy the room. “Does it mean having things that buzz inside you and a stick-out handle?"

"Real isn't how you are made," said the Skin Horse. "It's a thing that happens to you. When a child loves you for a long, long time, not just to play with, but REALLY loves you, then you become Real."

"Does it hurt?" asked the Rabbit.

"Sometimes," said the Skin Horse, for he was always truthful. “When you are Real you don't mind being hurt."

"Does it happen all at once, like being wound up," he asked, "or bit by bit?"

"It doesn't happen all at once," said the Skin Horse. "You become. It takes a long time. That's why it doesn't happen often to people who break easily, or have sharp edges, or who have to be carefully kept.

Generally, by the time you are Real, most of your hair has been loved off, and your eyes drop out and you get loose in the joints and very shabby. But these things don't matter at all, because once you are Real you can't be ugly, except to people who don't understand."

"I suppose you are real?" said the Rabbit. And then he wished he had not said it, for he thought the Skin Horse might be sensitive. But the Skin Horse only smiled.

"The Boy's Uncle made me Real," he said. "That was a great many years ago; but once you are Real you can't become unreal again. It lasts for always."

A beautiful Winnipeg Fairmont Wedding

A beautiful Winnipeg Fairmont Wedding

I am happy to share Natalie and Nick's wedding today! Their beautiful Winnipeg wedding was a couple of weeks ago and was perfect in many ways. From a traditional Ukrainian cathedral to a high end wedding reception.

Elena + Mark's wedding at the Hotel Fort Garry

Ever since I had my Connection Session with Elena and Mark, I knew their wedding day would be special.  They are such gentle souls, so kind to each other. So perfect.

Mark,  just smiles, shrugs and sneaks a glance to make sure Elena approves. He opens the door for her, she looks at him with respect, gratitude and sincere love.  I know - sappy, but that stuff still exists in today's day and age - and it's beautiful. I don't care what people say!

Leah and I had a great day with their friends and family and we managed to avoid the rain. Well, just about.  Here are some of my favourite frames.

Ben + Tarilee's wedding in Winnipeg

Ben + Tarilee's wedding in Winnipeg

I am happy to share highlights from Ben and Terilee's wedding today.

Ben and Terilee booked us online and although I only really met them the week of the wedding, it was a very relaxed and easy going day. Like friends hanging out.  Here are a couple of my favourites from their day.
